Editors

Dolores Diaz is our managing editor. She is a writer, editor and story teller with over 10 years of experience in producing copy and compelling stories across media. Her work includes interfacing with clients, interviewing and coaching technicals and nontechnicals alike to provide valuable content that she works into meaningful copy. She has experience working under a creative director in in-house agency settings and with advertising agencies in addition to working independently with her own team of editors and designers to bring a project into fruition. At times, Dolores works as a branding coach, helping clients understand what makes them unique to weave a specific identity and signature into copy that defines them. She always provides strategy and direction, looking to what's ahead to offer meaningful copy and positioning at key times. In her own words, "I am always looking for ways to put my unique combination of skills to use to add value for my clients." Her technical editing work products include technical engineering and environmental compliance reports, proposals, and marketing materials for commercial, industrial, Local, State, and Federal clients. Ms. Diaz’s experience includes developing, leading, and managing high level document quality assurance programs; coordinating all aspects of document production from development of templates through final production of reports, manuals, brochures, technical papers, fact sheets, and other specialty publications; managing editorial staff; utilizing multiple word processing, graphic design, and presentation software packages; overseeing version control; and managing multiple priorities to meet schedules for numerous deliverables under tight deadlines. Ms. Diaz has edited a variety of engineering-related documents for the municipalities and utilities, and environmental consultancies. She is a cum laude graduate from the University of Notre Dame and holds an English degree with a minor in Journalism.Ms. Diaz has edited a variety of engineering-related documents for the City of Austin, including technical specifications for the Holly Power Plant Decommissioning. She holds an English degree from the University of Notre Dame.

Patrick Boyce is an editing professional with 7 years of experience in technical writing and editing in research, product development, and project management. His work products include project plans, product requirements, engineering specifications, technical reports, and scientific publications. He is capable of working with cross-functional teams to develop all documentation from templates to publications and presentations. He understands research and development, quality control and assurance including version control, complicated processes, training, procedure development, risk management, compliance documentation, and stakeholder presentations. Mr. Boyce is recognized by supervisors and peers for his communication skills, organization, attention to detail, ability to see the big picture and taking ideas to the next level. Mr. Boyce has experience in scientific research, reporting and publications at the graduate and professional level. Patrick has over 5 years of experience with start-ups and small companies, tight deadlines and tough challenges. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Texas at Austin and is a Certified Associate in Project Management.

Vicky Garza is an editing professional with over 10 years of business and technical communications experience. As a journalist, she wrote for the Texas State Senate and various media outlets, including the Austin Business Journal, where she served as a staff writer covering City, County, and State government as well as the healthcare, legal, transportation, and creative industries. Ms. Garza has also written and edited content and helped produce events for employers and clients ranging from Fortune 500 companies to nonprofit and advocacy clients such as the Florida anti-tobacco Truth campaign. Additionally, she worked at Freescale Semiconductor for 3 years, writing and editing technical documentation and collaborating with teams from Australia, India, Israel, and Scotland. Ms. Garza holds a BBA in Marketing from the University of Miami in Florida and an MBA in International Business from St. Edward’s University in Austin.

Danielle Early is an editing professional with over 10 years of experience in writing and editing. As a journalist she wrote for national and local residential and commercial construction companies including Pulte Homes, Del Webb, Lennar Homes, and David Weekly Homes. She also collaborated with the EPA on several magazines that discussed and defined Energy Star® homes in Texas and Indiana. Mrs. Early has written brochures, magazines, newsletters, website content, and press releases for several different companies and completed personal projects, such as book editing and thesis editing, for individuals. Mrs. Early also enjoyed writing and editing a monthly newsletter for a non-profit mothers organization for five years. She takes pride in her attention to detail, creativity, organization skills and communication skills. Mrs. Early holds a Journalism degree from Northern Arizona University.
